Written listening to soul-funk during a relaxed overcast day in Siem Reap city
After several years of hiatus I’m revisiting an old interest in lucid dreaming. Despite enjoying a handful of successful lucid dreams in the past, I never managed to become consistent at having them, so I feel it’s time to give it some more work. Encouragingly I actually managed to get one the very night I decided to start trying for them. Unfortunately I woke up a short time after going lucid which was a common problem for me in the past too. When it works it’s truly an incredible experience so I’m gonna persevere and see where I get.
I don’t like Christmas much but I love the new year and the period between Christmas and January 1st is the time I prepare mentally and physically for the new year. It’s always a positive time for me and feels as though you’ve almost reached the end of a long chapter of a book, just half a page to go and you get to start a fresh one.
Some guy once described all those old unfinished projects cluttering up your hard drive as though they were pets. Pets require and deserve love and attention, deny them of this and you both will suffer. Having too many pets means that you will neglect some of them, therefore it’s best to just cut some of them loose. Not always easy but ultimately it’s the best choice.
