Written from a cool and cloudy Siem Reap Cambodia
One of the many great things about living in South East Asia is the abundant amounts of fresh ginger. Adding it a stir fry or a soup is how I’ve been using it until now, but just recently I gave ginger ale a go.
I call it ginger ale but in actual fact it’s not proper ginger ale because it’s not sparkling, but hey it’s close enough. It’s pretty good for a change but I don’t think I’ll be doing it regularly.
Just finished the book “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown and really enjoyed it. Gradually stripping back the layers of complexity in my life has been a work in progress for some time now and the book has compelled me to continue. The book also has some excellent points on the subject of priorities which I found most valuable.
I can’t stop eating those coconut buns. They became a problem for me some months back and I managed to avoid them for a while, but now they’re back in my life with a vengeance.
What doesn’t help is that last week I experienced fresh from the oven coconut buns and holy shit, they’re worth writing home about. So now there is even more of a reason for me to get down the bakers to feed my addiction.
